Did you ever have to choose, beautiful OR comfortable? ⠀⠀⠀⠀

At 16 years old I didn’t feel comfortable at the beach. I couldn’t find a bra that was my correct size, therefore a beautiful bikini that made me feel confident seemed like a distant possibility. I made a habit out of being at the beach wrapped in my towel, incapable of feeling comfortable with my body. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

When I entered a store I already knew that I would only find one of the two options: either the bikini was modern and pretty, but even if pretended it did it would never give me enough support, or the bikini would be supportive for my size but I didn’t identify with the colors and patterns because it felt old fashioned. I tried so many stores and so many brands, eventually I just realized I would not find what I wanted.

The idea to create Mist came from our conversations about these frustrations, that influence our self-esteem and our wellbeing, our relationship with ourselves and with others, our confidence. 

We created what was missing, what we wanted to find but couldn’t. Modern styles that fit your body, so that you can relax at the beach (or play beach tennis, walk by the sea, go for a swim) and feel good and confident. So that you can spend the whole day at the beach and not feel uncomfortable, you should feel good by having a bikini that is both beautiful (and) that fits and adapts to your curves. Our bikinis are made thinking of you, it is a small detail and a small change that can make all the difference… it did to me. - Beatriz
